Town Planning Amnesty further extended to 30th April 2013.

The Town Planning Amnesty which allows property owners to obtain their title deeds despite their property having planning infringements has been further extended until 30th April 2013. The point of the amnesty is not to legalise serious planning violations but planning irregularities such as the construction of a pergola design or the building of a garage.

By making the property “legal”, property owners are able to receive a title deed. However, our experience with property law issues has shown us that it is vital for property owners when making an application under the planning amnesty to work very closely with their lawyer and architect in order that the quality of title deeds that are finally issued are to the satisfaction of the property owner in order that he can transfer the property without any problems.
